Best place for lunch or takeout! Seating can be limited during lunchtime. Food is fresh. Portion is larger than other places. Queso is delicious! Soft spot for their chips.

I have a weak spot for the steak queso but my last visit was a bit of a let down. Food was good but standing there for 10 minutes waiting to be helped was suprising. To make things worse the lady helped the guy behind me before even acknowledging me! I give it 2 stars only b/c I know this is not typical and they were also tied up completing an online order. Hopefully next time they do better.

I eat here quite a bit, the portions are good, the ingredients are fresh, and you know what you are getting every time you go. They have options for vegetarians, the only down side is they charge you for extras like guacamol

The Short and Sweet: Qdoba gives you much in quantity, but at the end of the day, there really isn't anything remarkable about it. The Food: (average) I ordered the the Queso Diablo Burrito, because it looked ever-so-good on the advertisement. On the advertisement, it was that cheesy-meaty-spicy combo you been waiting for since breakfast, however.... the end result was just not packing the love. All in all, none of the ingredients were bad, and the combination of rice, cheese, chicken, salsa, and sour cream all tasted proper, but there was no signature flavor or love-punch to the face. It was just your average burrito. The Atmosphere: (average) Overall, the establishment here on W. College Avenue is clean, lets in a bunch of sunshine, and is comfortable for sitting individuals or parties of up to 4. The noise level is average: you could have a conversation without straining yourself. The Price: (below average) Honestly, I have had better food (quantity and quality both considered) in town for as much or less money. The price may be worth it if the food was as good as it looked on their advertisement, but nah... The Service: (below average) The line workers that prepared the food seemed a little distressed, one of them seemed cheerful, but the rest looked like they were drudging through the daily grind.

Where to begin... Qdoba is usually considered to have exceptional: -Fresh ingredients -Quality food Unfortunately, this establishment does not follow the standard for most Qdoba franchises. The burrito was the blandest food I've purchased since buying a dirt pie. Quality is determined by my palate's enjoyment of flavor. Flavor is not a priority for this Qdoba. Many failures and horrible service to top it off.

Holla! There is actually a spot that rivals Chipotle. Because I'm from the west coast, I have never heard of Qdoba until a couple months ago. I was quite skeptical since I've grown up on legit taquieras, and recently Chipotle, but Qdoba might actually trump Chipotle. What sells this spot is their queso. My god it's like crack. If you're a fan of nachos, then oh boy oh boy you're in for a treat. You can get the queso with chips, or.......on your burrito. How intense is that? If that's not your cup of tea, don't fret, there are plenty more for you. This time, I opted for the 2 items for $7. I chose the carnitas quesadilla, and two tacos (1 soft chicken, 1 hard steak). What a steal for $7 right? Each of the 3 meats were juicy and full of flavor. I didn't get that uncomfortable full feeling that I get after eating Chipotle too! If you're looking for good fake Mexican food, then you have two goo choices: Qudoba or Chipotle. Lots of burritos, tacos, quesadillas, and nachos for you to dine on. For me, its all about Qudoba for now!

Qdoba beats Chipotle. Food is about the same price, but you get way more meat, and there's more options as well. Lots of different meats and sauces, and the amazing queso sauce. Their nachos are amazing. Try the queso burrito as well.

I was traveling through State College this weekend and decided to stop at Qdoba for lunch. This was my first time and we wanted a quick lunch. Since it was after 1pm, it was easy to get in and out and the manager was friendly in explaining the various options to us. I ordered a Naked Burrito, similar to Chipotle's Burrito Bowl and my wife had mini quesadillas and nachos. She liked hers and mine was all right, but I think I prefer Chipotle's better. This location was relatively clean and the employees are personable and friendly. I might give it another try next time.

I generally have an upset stomach at Taco Bell, not here. This isn't a restaurant and is really just a slightly more expensive taco bell. Although the atmosphere inside is nicer and less fast food. I mean the best way to frame it, is that its fast food in a restaurant outfit with better food than taco bell. This is a take your girlfriend kind of place. Also no tip which is always good. The inside is designed well and it's not loud and has quiet mexican themed music playing in the background. Soft drinks with a get your own free refill.

Good food, though I think my beef might have been pork. It was really pale for beef. Portion size on a pick 2 naked burrito and soup were not as huge as I'd expected, but it was OK. Nice flavors, good service.

Delish! Right around the corner from the comic book store. I like to stop for my comics and then walk around the corner for a burrito to go. Great food. clean bathrooms, worth a stop.

I like it, but it's not the best in town. Expect a heaping portion of rice and a long line during eating hours. I have since transferred my business to Chipotle and I love it. Seating during lunch hours is hard to get. You are better off getting it to go.

I ate here today, and the burritos were mediocre. My meat was bland and they barely put any on compared to the massive amount of undercooked rice. It was also a little pricey for the quality. The worker who wrapped it up did such a poor job that when I opened up my burrito it all fell out into a slop on my plate. My burrito was about $7.50, for that price I should have just went to an authentic Mexican joint. I must say though, their queso is delicious, and so is their fire salsa, though it could be hotter. Also I think it was an extra 1.30 to add guacamole... Qdoba is definitely not bad, and I would eat there over Taco Bell any day, but there are certainly many better and cheaper build-your-own burrito places out there.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
